Heirloom Escarole / Endive Frisee Mix Seeds

This is a mix of 6 heirloom varieties of Escarole and Endive. They are VERY easy to grow (both in containers or the garden) and add great taste and texture to your salads. Endive and Escarole or members of the chicory genus of plants. Endive tends to have narrow, curly leaves (Frisee) while Escarole have broader leaves. These varieties are particularly well-suited for cutting as they re-grow readily. Great for both spring and fall plantings. Plant in the spring after danger of last frost when soil warms to 50F. Plant in early fall for late-season harvests well after first frost. Endive and Escarole are high in many vitamins and minerals, particularly vitamins A and K, along with folate (B9), and manganese.
