I am pleased to confirm that none of the neighbouring businesses were flooded and that water pumps are actively clearing water from the nearby sports field. This is the most critical feedermain in our city, carrying treated water from a reservoir to a network of over 1.2 million Calgarians and other regional communities. For perspective, it is over 11km long and is large enough to drive a car through. We will continue to keep everyone updated. This incident impacts water availability across the city… @JyotiGondek/1799527633077883315 : We managed to get a couple of photos of what we’re dealing with when it comes to the Bowness water feeder main break.
